A medically guided approach
We understand that every patient’s weight loss journey is different. That’s why our medical team takes a personalized, compassionate and medically guided approach to help you achieve sustainable results.
Why weight management matters
Maintaining a healthy weight can help reduce the risk of serious health conditions, including:
- Type 2 diabetes: improve blood sugar control and reduce the risk of developing diabetes
- High blood pressure: support healthier blood pressure and cardiovascular function
- Heart disease: improve cholesterol levels and reduce cardiovascular risk factors
- Joint pain: reduce excess stress on the knees, hips and other joints
- Sleep apnea: improve sleep quality and potentially reduce the severity of sleep-related breathing problems
- Low energy and mobility: improve physical endurance, mobility and overall quality of life
Even a modest weight reduction of 5–10% of your starting body weight can lead to meaningful improvements in certain health markers.
How V-Care supports your weight loss journey
Our medical weight management approach focuses on understanding your health, identifying potential barriers, and creating a realistic plan that fits your lifestyle.
1. Comprehensive medical evaluation
We begin by reviewing your medical history, current medications, weight-related concerns and personal health goals. When appropriate, we may recommend laboratory testing to evaluate metabolic health and identify underlying medical conditions.
2. Personalized weight management plans
No two patients are alike. We develop individualized plans that may include nutrition guidance, physical activity recommendations, behavioral changes and realistic weight loss goals.
3. Medical weight loss treatment options
For eligible patients, our healthcare providers can evaluate whether prescription weight management medications, including weight loss injections given here in the clinic, may be appropriate, based on medical history, health conditions and clinical guidelines.
4. Ongoing monitoring and support
Successful weight management requires consistency and ongoing guidance. Our team provides follow-up appointments to monitor progress, evaluate treatment effectiveness, address challenges and adjust care plans as needed.
5. Long-term health and wellness
Our goal isn’t just to help you lose weight. We want to help you maintain your progress, improve your metabolic health and build sustainable habits that support your long-term well-being.

Common questions
Is medical weight loss right for me?
That depends on your health, your history and your goals, which is what the first consultation is for. We review your medical history, current medications and weight-related concerns, and build a plan around them. Request a consultation to start.
Do you prescribe weight loss medication?
Yes, for eligible patients. Our providers evaluate whether prescription weight management medication is appropriate, based on your medical history, health conditions and clinical guidelines, and weight loss injections are given here in the clinic. Medication is one option within a plan, never the whole plan.
How often will I come in?
Weight management works through consistency, so expect regular follow-up appointments to monitor progress, evaluate how treatment is working, address challenges and adjust your plan as needed. How often depends on your plan.
Will my insurance cover it?
Coverage varies by plan and by the services involved. Call (281) 984-4550 with your plan details before your visit, and we’ll check. Self-pay patients are welcome.
