Dr. Sadiq A. Syed has spent more than 30 years caring for adults. As V-Care's Chief Medical Officer, he leads the clinic's medical care, with a focus on what keeps people well over the long run: preventive care and the steady management of chronic conditions.
His training is in internal medicine, the specialty devoted to adult health. He earned his medical degree at Dow Medical College and completed his residency in internal medicine at Capital Health System, Fuld Campus. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Much of good adult medicine happens between the big moments: a blood pressure check that catches a trend early, a medicine list reviewed so nothing works against anything else, a plan for diabetes that fits the way you actually live. That patient, preventive approach is at the heart of his work.
He also teaches. Dr. Syed is on the faculty of the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine at the University of Houston and at Texas Nursing School, and he is affiliated with Texas Children’s Hospital.
If you were a patient at SKC Family Clinic, you already know him. The clinic has a new name, V-Care Family Practice & Urgent Care, but the physicians and team are the same, so your care continues with people you know, and your records are already here.
